Yes, I’m still alive. After finals, Persona 4, making costumes, and the holiday parties with family and friends, I’ve now remembered that I have a duly neglected blog I’d love to update again. Can’t get rid of me that easily!
Anyway, this past weekend I attended Anime LA and got away with a nice haul. One of the greatest perks of attending cons: discounted figures!
The Asuka and Rei festival ones were $15 each, and the Vegeta was about $17. Pretty good deals if I do say so myself! I also saw a Megahouse Queen’s Blade Alice (that’s sold out everywhere) but it was $80 and I didn’t especially feel it was worth it. But hey, I stuck to my resolution: no new figures bought in 2008 after my Haruhi! These were all purchased in the new year.
My friends and I cosplayed from Persona 4 (I was Hanamura Yousuke), and we even coerced our Chie’s little sister into doing Nanako. We had her take a photo with a Pedobear, it was epic. I’m thinking of making a cosplay blog for our photos, since I have folders of our stuff just sitting on my hard drive, and I don’t like flooding places like Cure and Cosplay.com. We’ll see~
